Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)
Zero liquid discharge (ZLD) is used to concentrate RO/NF reject in industrial wastewater plants. Most of the water in the concentrate is recovered as product by separating the salt from the water. ZLD systems include thermal evaporators, crystallizers, brine concentrators and spray dryers.
